Needs our prayers today

In this space, I will often lift up an urgent prayer need.  Maybe for someone or something I know about personally, or then again maybe not.   I do not know this precious soul, but many of you do.

Her name is Joanne Heim and she is fighting for her life right now in Colorado.  She was on her treadmill today, 38 years old, and collapsed.  She was found by her daughter.  Now … yes this very moment … she is in surgery where doctors have discovered a blood clot near or on her brain.

Here is a sweet photo I found of her online.  May the healing hand of our precious Saviour be on her. I also found where she had been to one of our LifeWay Women’s events in Laramie, WY in 2009.  I feel connected even more.

Feel free to comment, pray here for this precious sister in Christ.

Just a quick post.  You can probably hear me screaming from here.  iPhone 4 officially comes to Verizon in early February.  The LIVE BLOG from CNN Money tells the story … Check it out.

Wonder what I will do when my AT&T contract runs out IN FEBRUARY?  Insert grin here.

This has been one VERY boring blog. I’m not talking about
my last 9 months of quiet (sans the brief engagement in October to
warn you of my impending return), but instead referring to the many
months prior where I simply laid out “Pam’s office travel journal”
or an occasional “brag moment” related to my precious family.
That’s how it’s looked to me when I reviewed previous posts.
Frankly, I bored myself to tears. Please know my quiet voice on
this blog has not reflected the loud rumblings that have been
battling in my head. In fact, a couple of them have begged to come
out. I’ve simply been beating them into submission. Until now. So
what is “the voice” for my musings? It’s just going to be me.
Me. Pam Case. Wife to an awesome man, who happens to be the most
unusual combination of pastor AND TV weatherman. Dedicated mom to
three grownup children … two beautiful daughters and a handsome
step-son. Full time career gal in Christian publishing.
Friend to many. And above all, lover of Jesus. Plain and
simple. If that’s boring, then so be it. In the midst of all the
things listed above, there are some stories to tell. Okay, lots of
them. I’ll pull from some history from time to time. Other
posts will be relevant to the day as it happens. It may be a
ministry story. Then again, maybe not so much. We’ll just see how
it goes. If that becomes interesting to others, we can keep the
convo going through comments and more posts. And I will always
reply. I’m committed to that. And to help get us
reacquainted, here’s
a previous post
with some detail about the church where
my pastor hubby and I have been serving. It’ll get us
started. As for the blog? Call this a do over. A fresh start.
A new beginning or any other cliché that kicks off a new year. From
here on out, I’m dedicated to livin’ out loud through a few more
words in the blogosphere. I’ll meet you there! ~Pam

Returning

Posted: October 25, 2010 in Uncategorized

After much time, around seven months to be exact, I’m returning to Livin’ Out Loud with a fresh heart, mind … and hopefully, voice.

I’m working through what might be my first post in what seems like a decade.  I’ll be sure to tweet, etc., when it’s up and ready!  I love you for dropping in from time to time, regardless of new writing.  I’m sorry for the lack of commitment here in recent months.  But I plan to address the “voiceless me” as part of my “back to the blog world” post.  Coming soon.

My Prayer Is…

Posted: March 17, 2010 in Uncategorized

A few weeks ago, through my “day job” with LifeWay Women, I worked one of our events called “Going Beyond”. This is an event led by one of the most amazing bible teachers on platform today, Priscilla Shirer.

What makes it so amazing?

There’s a lotta love for people oozing from a barely noticed southwest corner of Nashville. It’s called Bellevue. And it’s the area of town where you will find our local church. But before I dive into the who, what and where about our church, I thought I’d share a little insight into the community we’ve been called to serve.

First post in a while, and I’m soaking up a flood of information on things I “should know better”.  It’s all about the legal ins and outs of blogs and other social media … are YOU here too?

I’m taking a few pix between now and tomorrow afternoon, live and in person from the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Hotel.  (pause for commercial break: this is one of the most lovely hotels in the USA!  My hubby and I married here. end of commercial).

Leave a comment, send me a Twitter DM.  I want to share you with my friends. Let’s have a good time.

Where live blogging is okay!

So as I sit here, absorbing like a sponge I can’t help but wonder what I will be learning in the next 30 hours.  One thing’s for sure, I’ll be meetin’ and greetin’ like nobody’s business.

For now, I’m even more interested in what’s scheduled next: A “surprise guest” will be dropping by.

Could it be Sarah Palin, who is scheduled to speak here tonight, right next door?  Now THAT would be INSANE.  Stay tuned.

Happy to announce that my domain name now matches my blog title.  I’ve wanted to ramp up again, but not until I took care of a little behind-the-scenes business.  So, hang on. I’m about to jump in.

I haven’t written a post in months … literally.  I’ve been holding off, uninspired. Until now. I begin writing again with an URGENT personal request.
